Sunday started as most Sundays do - with a trip to the Farmer's Market. This time I went on my own, and spent much longer wandering around - with a coffee in hand, taste-testing to my heart's content - than Rufus would usually allow. After loading up on fresh grapes, figs, apples, peaches, kale, tomatoes, and herbs (among other fun things), Rufus and I ate some lunch and ran some errands before heading to my Nanna's house for a family barbecue. It was a full house! We sat around for hours with plenty of delicious food, and made each other laugh - it was great.
Though it was a long weekend, I had to work all day Monday (the busiest I've ever seen the cafe, I swear), as did Rufus. But that's okay! It was good while it lasted. How was your weekend?

We lost the habit of weekly farmer's market jaunts over the holiday period (I broke my toe) and I'm starting to feel the serious pangs of withdrawal now that I can hobble around again. My boyfriend never wants to spend as much time tasting and breathing in the atmosphere either.
ReplyDeleteYour trip at the farmer's market sounds lovely. Sometimes I like browsing on my own without Stu so i don't feel guilty about taking my time.
